Being A Successful Fundraiser.


For their valuable perspectives fundraising, I interviewed more than 30 donors at the highest level, the millions and millions of dollars to various charitable organizations, ministries and organizations. I asked them why some successful fundraiser, while others do not.

These are the qualities and characteristics of the donors felt successful fundraiser:

Honest relationship - particularly successful fundraiser are welcome.

Personal integrity - Successful Fundraiser on hand for real, and always with integrity.

Knowledge of their charity - Successful Fundraiser well informed.

Clearly defined objectives - Successful Fundraiser clear the mission, needs, and the possibility of a donor conference for the mission.

Regular communication - Successful Fundraiser keep donors to date.
Confirmation of the cost-effectiveness - successful fundraiser shows that the donor money to do what is promised.

Credibility - Successful Fundraiser use donor funds for the intended purpose.

Matching Gifts - Successful Fundraiser lead on matching gifts or gifts to donors gifts will be multiplied.

Worthy cause - Successful Fundraiser help donors feel that they have a valuable contribution to a meaningful thing.

Shared vision - Successful fundraiser are looking for donors, the organization's vision and the will to make a difference.

Passion - Successful Fundraiser believe in their cause so well that they contribute.
Common interest - Successful Fundraiser find donors who are interested in their mission.

Enthusiasm - Successful Fundraiser are enthusiastic about their case.

Quality of presentation - Successful charity fundraiser in an attractive, clear and articulate manner.

Gratitude - Successful Fundraiser a hint of gratitude, regardless of the amount of the gift.

Persistence - Successful Fundraiser persistent, non-offensive.

On the other hand, these are the qualities and characteristics of the donors felt fundraiser not:

Lack of personal relationships - One of the most common reasons not fundraiser is that they have not shown a relationship with the donor.

Negative characteristics displayed - If something is said or done by the "red flag" for the donor, the fundraiser will probably fail.

The lack of honesty and trust - Trouble when fundraiser are not fair and not a strong belief in love.

Poor communication - the failure for the next fundraiser not communicate with each other, including communicating the love and constant contact with the donor.

Lack of clear objectives - fundraising, without clear objectives leads to a lack of balance and action.

The lack of integrity - a tip of a donation campaign, the lack of integrity and the donor has slowed, back, or demand answers.

Perceived ingratitude - fundraiser, often a personal thank the donors for the gifts or use as a springboard for the next request.

Letter despair - despair letters are not effective, well-maintained, and quickly forgotten.

Forget the obvious - as a fundraiser from a donor with all the necessary contacts, the donor can not give.

Time - potential donors do not appreciate when fundraiser are insensitive to their time and planning.
